Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Marmara fulgidella is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is known from the United States (including Pennsylvania). The larvae feed on Castanea and Quercus species, including Quercus prinus. They mine trunks and branches of their host plant. The mine has the form of a long winding gallery just under the epidermis of young trunks and branches. A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be 150,000 to 250,000 different species of moth (about ten times the number of species of butterfly), with thousands of species yet to be described.
